1950-2017
Linda Gayle Sallee Speakes, 66 of Lancaster, formerly of Richmond, died Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Ephraim-McDowell Regional Medical Center of Danville.
Born October 25, 1950, in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Charles Randolph and Lyda Rae Broaddus Sallee. Linda was a retired case manager for the Cabinet for Human Resources Community Based Services and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon).
Survivors include her loving husband, Ralph A. “Rusty” Speakes of Lancaster; one daughter, Shelley Renee Nunemaker Roberts (Lonnie) of Garrard County; one son; Ronald Coy Nunemaker of Lancaster; one sister, Rita Faulkner (David) of Lincoln County; one granddaughter, Whitney Lynne Sims; three step-daughters, Kathi Callihan, Lori Adams and Liz Tribbie; five step-sons, Chris, Jim, Joshua, Joey and Jon Speakes; 27 step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; one niece, Tracy Faulkner Gooch (Doug) and one nephew, Todd David Faulkner (Stacy Lynn).
Funeral service for Linda will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday June 14, 2017 at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with James Stinnett and Larry Ison officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Tuesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell.
Pallbearers will be Joe Masters, Todd Faulkner, Joey Speakes, Karen Wheeler, Jeff Durham, Bobby Middleton, Hayden Grubbs, and Crenson Pratt. Honorary bearers will be James Stinnett, Larry Ison, Hunter Faulkner, Gary Ginter, Chris Sharon, Mike Masters, and Kathi Callihan.
