Our featured pets for this week are Snow and Tia.

Snow

Snow is a gorgeous 10-month-old snow white kitty. She was brought to the humane society as a stray, but this girl is extremely well socialized. She is friendly but not over demanding and gets along very well with other cats. Snow has been spayed and is ready for her forever home. If you choose Snow to become part of your family you will have a loving and beautiful cat as a life-long companion.

Tia is a pretty 14-week-old Beagle mix puppy. She is from a large litter of unwanted puppies, brought to the humane society for the opportunity to find a great home. Tia is as sweet as she looks. She has those big, brown Beagle eyes that will reach out and touch your heart. What a great addition she will make to most any family with the time and love to help this precious girl reach her full potential.

The new county dog tags are now available for purchase at the humane society and the Judge Executive’s Office at the Boyle County Courthouse. County ordinance requires all dogs to wear a visible license tag. Licensing must be renewed each year during the month of July or within 30 days of acquiring a dog. The license fee is $5 if the dog is spayed or neutered and $10 for unaltered dogs. If your dog should become lost and is wearing a license tag, ownership can be traced by the tag number and your dog can be returned home much more quickly. Boyle County residents who adopt a dog at the humane society receive their dog license as part of the adoption paperwork.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes.  Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
