Boyle County Fiscal Court — 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8 in room 106 at the courthouse. Tentative items on the agenda include: Senior Citizen proclamation by Ben Guerrant; brass band festival by Michael Strysick and Kay Berggren; Adkev tax incentive ordinance; Wilderness Trace Distillery tax incentive ordinance; EMS purchase of portable vents; permission to bid for elevator updates; permission to advertise for janitorial services; county clerk’s second quarterly report; consider compensatory agreement; joint jail update and fiscal court EMS and Insurance/Finance committees’ updates.

Junction City Council — 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10. Items on the agenda include; presentation by Donna Fechter, Waste Management Director on the 5-year solid wast approval plan for Boyle County; first reading and passage of Ordinance No 2017-3 setting ad valorem tax rate for 2017; discussion of heavy trucks on city side streets.

Danville-Boyle County Planning and Zoning — 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16 in the Danville City Hall public meeting room. Items on the agenda include: minor plats for Caleb Ruckel on Burger Knob; Paul Webb on West Second Street, Perryville; and Owen & Elise Nisley, U.S. 68 West, Gravel Switch. Also final plat amendment for Bluegrass Chase Farms LLC, Phase 2 Lot 6; and site plan for Danville Marathon, Hustonville Road.

Teacher retirement meeting

All current and retired teachers of Boyle, Garrard and Lincoln counties are invited to hear KRTA Executive Director-elect Tim Abrams, and Executive Director Dr. Robert Wagoner speak on the status of the Retired Teacher System of Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Aug.14. at the Lincoln County High School auditorium. A question and answer session will also be conducted.Lincoln Co. Retired teachers are also reminded to bring their school supplies for the School Resource Centers.

Extension Office closed two hours Tuesday 

The Boyle County Extension Office will be closed to the public 10 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Aug. 8 for staff training.
