Mercer indictments

The following people were indicted by a Mercer County grand jury on Aug. 9:

• Wesley Simpson, 35, 120 Chilton Lane, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of controlled substance, heroin; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000. Chris Perkins with the Harrodsburg Police Department testified.

• Kayla Stump, 24, 2054 Osprey Cove Drive, Shelbyville: third-degree assault on deputy by biting him; second-degree criminal mischief by damaging Mercer County Sheriff’s Department property. Bail was set at $5,000. Matt Swabey with the MCSD testified.

• Julian Rosas Tecpile, 27, 1860 South Danville Bypass, Danville: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, cocaine; driving under the influence of intoxicants. Bail was set at $10,000. TJ Godbey with the HPD testified.

• David Jones, 39, 795 Talmage Mayo Road, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of controlled substance, methamphetamine; trafficking in stolen identities. Bail was set at $15,000. TJ Wren with the HPD testified.

• Kenneth Horn, 39, 1855 Deep Creek Road, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth; tampering with physical evidence. Bail was set at $10,000. Chris Perkins with the HPD testified.

• Jonathan Freeland, 40, 438 West Court St., Burgin: flagrant nonsupport when he failed to provide support for his three children. Bail was set at $5,000 non-refundable. Carla Washington testified.

• Ronald Coffman Jr., 33, 442 Perryville Road, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $5,000. Perkins testified.

• Rosemary Coffman, 29, 382 East Oak St., Lebanon Junction: first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $5,000. Perkins testified.

• Misty Gosser, 36, 8672 U.S. 27, Hustonville: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $10,000. Scott Elder with the MCSO testified.

• Larry Snider, 45, 28 Seventh St., Shelbyville: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $10,000. Elder testified.

• Cari Simpson, 33, 431 West Office St., Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $5,000. Keith Addison with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Jesse Carter, 29, 408 Marimon Ave., Harrodsburg: second-degree criminal abuse by causing physical injury to a child. Bail was set at $5,000. Chad Baker with the HPD testified.

• Ronald Puckett, 56, 150 Walnut St., Salvisa: first-degree assault by stabbing the victim with a deadly weapon causing serious injury. Bail was set at $20,000. Elder testified.

• Kevin Long, 49, 3175 Bohon Road, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $5,000. Derek Patterson with the HPD testified.

• Benny Moore, 25, Grapevine Road: third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $5,000. Wes Gaddis with the MCSO testified.

• Charles Jones, 36, 216 Cole Lane, Harrodsburg: receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000 by possessing a trailer owned by L.W. Wilson and Sons, knowing it had been stolen. Bail was set at $5,000. Michael Tims with the HPD testified.

• Richard Derringer, 44, 408 Bellaire Drive, Harrodsburg: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $5,000. Wren testified.

Kierstin Jones, 27, 521 Burley St., Harrodsburg: flagrant nonsupport when she failed to provide support for her child. Bail was set at $5,000 non-refundable. Anthony Giles testified.
