Saturday, at 10:25 p.m., Danville Police and Danville Fire Department, along with the Boyle County EMS responded to a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle in the area of East Main Street and Henson Park. 

Police report that Jerry Parton, 61, of Liberty, was walking on the sidewalk east-bound on East Main when a vehicle went onto the sidewalk and struck him. 

Emergency crews treated Parton on scene and was transported via ambulance to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

A witness stated they observed a silver Cadillac Escalade driving at a high rate of speed west bound on East Main Street and swerve in the road then continued west bound. Officer Ladd is the investigating officer.

Anyone with any information about this fleeing vehicle  — a silver Cadillac Escalade with front-end damage — and the driver, call the Danville Police Department at (859) 238-1220 and ask for the on-duty supervisor.
