Dear Editor,

While reading about teen suicide in Kentucky and other places, I thought about my 76 years of struggle with depression, a bitter heart and thoughts of revenge toward those who maliciously went out of their way to cause me harm, in things they said and pure physical abuse.

Forgiveness for those who hate you is the only antidote to give you peace in your own heart, to overcome this mountain of pride you find in so many people in our society.

For God so loved the world, he sent his son to the cross for you and I so that we may find forgiveness for others and for our own selves.
