Jerome Smith

1929-2017

Jerome Smith, 88, of Junction City, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 at VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born August 8, 1929 in Cornettsville, Kentucky to the late Orville and Florence Cornett Smith. Jerome was preceded in death by his wife, Margot Miles Smith.

He was a Foreman and a member of the Bethel Methodist Church where he taught Sunday school for many years. Jerome was a proud Air Force veteran.

Surviving are a stepson, Edward Miles, grandchildren, and special friends, David and Martha Sexton, Wanda Stratton, and Charles Gilpin (Ann).

Visitation from 11 AM-1 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial with honors at Camp Nelson National Cemetery at a later date.
