Pets of the Week, Sept. 5
Photographs are courtesy of Ronnie Logue. Our featured pets this week are McCoy and Zoe.
McCoy is a gorgeous 1-year-old male tabby with white markings. His coat coloring is quite striking with black swirls on a gray background combined with his snowy white legs, belly and face. McCoy’s owner had to relocate and could not take the family pets. McCoy is very sweet-tempered and would make a great addition in most any home. You really must come for a visit to appreciate this handsome boy’s good looks and temperament!
Zoe is a precious 3-month-old Border Collie mix puppy. She has a medium length black haircoat with the typical Border Collie white markings. Zoe is a sweet and affectionate little girl. She loves to be held and cuddled when she’s not playing with her puppy toys. Zoe is ready for a home where she will get plenty of attention and the training that all puppies require. She is sure to be a treasured member of her new forever family!
This Saturday at 12:30 p.m. is also our monthly DBCHS obedience class. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on U.S. 127 Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to attend for a small donation to the humane society. Space is limited so please pre-register by Friday at noon. You may email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the humane society at (859) 238-1117 to sign up. We hope to see you on Saturday.
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
