Sister Cities — 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13 at Danville City Hall. The agenda includes: financial update by Michele Gosser; update on Irish UPLIFTY, Eat, Drink, & Be Irish; artist exchange; and discussion of Irish play at Pioneer Playhouse, 2018 with Robby Henson.

Boyle County Fiscal Court — 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12 in room 106 at the courthouse. Tentative items on the agenda include: Family Services; Economic Development Partnership; Adkev tax incentive ordinance; Wilderness Trail Distillery tax incentive ordinance; Bluegrass Community Technical College project grant match; Solid waste concerning Mitchellsburg convenience center, contractors and public works materials; Convention and Visitors Burea financial statements; EMS and consider ambulance bids; Medicare participating supplier agreement; firefighter assistance grant approval; Joint Jail meeting update; Fiscal Court July financial statements; and consider sheriff’s purchases of tasers and MDTs.

Pet Appreciation Week celebration

To kick off national Pet Appreciation Week, Sept. 13-17, Danville Tractor Supply will host a pet supply drive to support local pet and animal groups that partner with the store. From Sept. 13-17, customers can drop off new, sealed food, toys, cleaning supplies and other essential pet accessories such as beds, scratching posts, leashes and bowls to be donated to local rescues and shelters in the community. At the store on Saturday, Sept. 16 there will be pet adoptions, demonstrations on pet nutrition and a free dog treats for customers while supplies last.
