Artist to perform Saturday at West T. Hill Saturday 

Alissa Klein will perform 6-7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16 at West T. Hill Community Theatre, 117 Larimore Lane in Danville. Klein will perform songs from her new CD, “Cardiology.” Tickets are $10 at the door.

The Judge Samuel McDowell Lecture Series will begin at 12:30 p.m. and run through 5 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Boyle County Public LibraryThe Friday afternoon lectures are part of a weekend “Tribute to Judge Samuel McDowell.” Lectures will include information about Samuel McDowell, Capt. John McDowell, Ephraim McDowell, and a day in the life of a colonial McDowell. This event will be held in the Community Room and is free and open to the public. The start time was printed incorrectly in Thursday’s paper. 


Boyle County Agency for Substance Abuse Policy (ASAP) — 8:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 22 in the lower level conference room of the Boyle County Health Department, South Third Street, Danville. All interested persons are invited.
