Lincoln County WMU World Day of Prayer

The Lincoln County Baptist Associational Woman’s Missionary Union is inviting ladies from all churches to come to the Baptist World Alliance Women’s World Day of Prayer at the Pleasant View Baptist Church in Waynesburg on Monday, Nov. 6 at 7 P.M.  All faiths are welcome. Charlotte Hunter will be leading in a time of sharing information for needs of women in the seven Continental Unions representing 193 national Baptist women’s organizations from 156 countries followed by a time of prayer.  The theme is “When We Rise up He Shines and Our Communities are Transformed”. The meeting will be in the fellowship hall and men are also welcome. It will be preceded by a salad supper for all who would like to come at 6 p.m. and bring your favorite salad.

West Side Community to host Trunk or Treat

West Side Community United Methodist Church, at 2875 Hwy 127 in Hustonville will host Trunk or Treat on Saturday, Oct. 28, 4 to 6 p.m. The event is open to the public. The church has collected close to 500 lbs. of candy to give out, plus teal pumpkin treats for those with food allergies.

Revival

First Baptist Church, Perryville will have a revival at 7 p.m. Oct. 24-26.  Rev. Joseph Marshall pastor at 2nd Baptist Church Bloomfield will be guest speaker.

Spaghetti supper

Mitchellsburg Baptist Church will hold a spaghetti supper on Thursday, Oct. 26 starting at 5 p.m. Everyone is invited.

Fish Fry at Paint Lick Fairview

Paint Lick Fairview Christian Church will hold a fish fry on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 5 to 7 p.m. Cost is $8 for adults, $5 for kids under 12. Meal includes fish, hush puppies, baked beans, fries, cole slaw, homemade desserts and drinks.

Youth choir to sing

Salt River Baptist Church, “The River”, invites you to join us as our children/youth choir give their first presentation of Christian songs at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. The children and youth will also be playing rhythm instruments as accompaniment. A time of food and fellowship will follow. All are invited as we celebrate the launch of this new children/youth ministry at “The River”. Pastor Dave Evans will bring us a brief message of encouragement. Minister of Music and Youth, Cheryl Erwin invites your children or grandchildren to join our choir.
