News release
Heritage Hospice and the Danville-Boyle County Arts Commission have partnered for a recognition of Hospice Month. On Thursday, Nov. 2, a breakfast will be offered at Hospice’s community room from 7:30-9 a.m. A special exhibit will also open that morning to run through the month. All art exhibited will be by community members who have connections to and an interest in the services Hospice offers.
At 6 p.m. on Nov. 2, Gen. Howard Hunt will speak in the community room. He will share information on understanding military medals and ribbons, as well as other significant memorabilia, which many families have from their relatives who have served their country.
Hunt also designed a simple and respectful display piece which families can copy to preserve and share special items which have been passed on to them. Hunt is known for his willingness to meet and share with veterans and their families.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, email the Arts Commission at arts@historicdanvilleky.com.
