Danville Police officers worked two separate car thefts in the city on Sunday and Monday, resulting in one arrest. Police are still looking for one alleged thief.

At about 10:18 p.m. Sunday, Officer Tanner Abbott observed a vehicle on Denmark Drive that matched the description of a vehicle stolen earlier in the day from Linda Avenue.

It was a 1992 white Dodge pickup truck and was parked in a driveway on Denmark Drive. After checking the vehicle identification number, Abbott confirmed it was the stolen truck. After further investigation, a man at the residence, Jordan L. Miller, 25, of Danville, was arrested.

Miller has been charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000. He is lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center.

On Monday morning, at about 2:24 a.m., Officer Jacob Ruhe located a vehicle in a driveway of a vacant Stanford Avenue residence.

The 1987 Mazda pickup truck had been reported stolen earlier in the day from a residence on Adams Street.

No one had been charged with crimes relating to the second theft as of press time. It is unclear if the crimes are related; no one from the Danville Police Department could comment on if a connection exists.
