Free computer classes offered at library
In the ongoing effort to promote lifelong learning, Boyle County Public Library offers a wide variety of free computer classes throughout month. This week the library is offering the following classes:
— Computer Basics 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 6
— Internet Basics on 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8
— eMail Basics 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9
The Call for Bell Ringers
The Salvation Army is preparing for the Bell Ringing season. Bell ringing will begin Monday, Nov. 17 and continue through Saturday, Dec. 23. Bell ringing locations include Danville Kroger, Hobby Lobby, Danville Walmart, Harrodsburg Walmart, Harrodsburg Kroger and Stanford Walmart. Ask your business, school or church to organize a group to volunteer. Contact Dana Long at the Salvation army at 236-4473.
Correction
In the story on Friday, Nov. 3 titled “Dead tree brings Arts Commission public art back to life,” Jennifer Kirchner’s title was incorrect. Kirchner is the director of the Danville/Boyle County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
