Zeus is a big handsome 2-year-old gray tabby. He is at the humane society through no fault of his own. His family was expecting a baby and decided that Zeus just wouldn’t get the attention that he deserved if he stayed in their home. Zeus is a very sweet boy and he gets along with other cats very well. Zeus would make a great indoor companion for whoever is able to give him a second chance at his forever home!

Travis is a sweet 14-week-old mixed breed puppy. He looks like he has some hound in him with those long floppy ears. His coloring suggests that he also may be part shepherd. Travis is a cutie and he has seven siblings all looking for their perfect match. If you are in search of a playful puppy with a precious temperament, come and spend some time with Travis and see if he doesn’t capture your heart!

PetSmart Charities is sponsoring a National Adoption Event this weekend. The DBCHS will be participating at our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart on U.S. 27 just north of Nicholasville. We will have many adorable kitties, puppies and dogs in need of loving forever homes. Kittens and cats will be available for adoption all weekend during store hours. Puppies and dogs will be at PetSmart on Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and on Sunday from noon-5 p.m. This will be the perfect opportunity to meet many of our lovable furry friends that need forever homes.

The DBCHS is having our annual fundraiser called Pints for Pets Pup Crawl on Saturday, Nov. 25 from 4-9 p.m. in downtown Danville. Purchase a cool T-shirt for $20/$22 or youth size for $15 and wear it the night of the event. Shirts can be ordered online at www.homes4pets.org. Come join us for a fun-packed evening and also help the pets at the humane society!
