Anita Gertrude Taylor

1916-2017

Anita Gertrude Taylor, 101, of Crab Orchard, passed away Sunday, November 26th, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville. Anita was born in Wise County, VA on July 8, 1916. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Ida (Stallard) Killen. She was a member of Oak Grove Church of Christ and had retired as a Cook for Broughtontown Elementary School after 23 years of service.

Survivors Include Daughter, Joan Johnson of Crab Orchard; Son, Scott Taylor of Stanford; Son, Ronald Taylor of Cincinnati; Son, Jerry Taylor of Dayton; Sister, Geraldine Middleton of Nashville, TN; 13 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by Son, Travis K. Taylor; Grandson, Dana McLaughlin; Sister, Mayme Singleton; Brothers, Rupert, Lowell and Curtis Killen.

Pallbearers Include: Jason Taylor, Hamilton Terrell, Michael Middleton & C.J. McLaughlin

Funeral 2 PM, Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Arnold Larkin, Bro. Thad Eubank, Bro. Harry Middleton. Burial in the Mt. Zion Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the funeral on Wednesday beginning at 12 Noon at the McKnight Funeral Home.
