Our featured pets this week are Josie and Jack.

Josie is a gorgeous 3-year-old calico kitty. She has a lot of white in her coat and cute markings on her face. Josie was brought to the humane society as a stray, but she is very friendly and social. She looks like she recently had a home since she appears to be in very good condition. Since Josie’s owner has not come forward, she is ready for a fresh start with a new family. Please come for visit and give this sweet girl the second chance that she deserves!

Jack is a darling 15-week-old mixed breed puppy. He is black and white and has a little wave to his coat making him look like he could be a spaniel and hound mix. Jack is very precious and sweet. He’s a happy puppy ready to start the rest of his life with a loving family. Jack is just the right age to go on with his training. He will make a wonderful companion for his lucky adopter!

Our next DBCHS obedience class is this Saturday at 12:30 p.m.. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on the U.S. 127 Danville bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to join in for a small donation to the humane society. Please pre-register for the class by emailing or you may call the humane society at (859) 238-1117. Space is limited so please sign up by Friday at noon.
