Pierce “Junior” York

1925-2017

Pierce “Junior” York, 92, of Junction City, KY passed away Monday, November 27, 2017 at Signature Health and Rehab, Radcliff, KY. Pierce was preceded in death by his parents, Pierce Moses and Stella May Middleton York; four brothers: J.W., Cecil, Russell, and George York; and four sisters: Lilly Lay, Ivy Martin, Jane Lofgren, and Francis La Chapelle. 

Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Sarah Mae Rutledge York; two daughters, Ann Ursprung (Jerry) and Vivian Rector (Dale); six grandchildren: Lisa Lique, Ross McQuerry II, MeShell Barnes, Dale Rector II, Tonya Ursprung, and Bud Ursprung; nine great grandchildren: Tiffany, Leigh Ann, Brice, Heather, Jessica, Jenna, Jonah, Katie and Zoe; one sister, Laura Bell Kimberling of Moreland, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews. Internment to be at Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford, KY. A Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. A Guestbook is available at www.wlpruitt.com.
