Geraldine “Gerri” Compton

1953-2017

Geraldine “Gerri” Compton, 64, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 04, 2017. She was a beloved mother and grandmother. Gerri will be missed and remembered by many who knew her as a loving and generous friend, co-worker, and community member.

Gerri is survived by her children Christopher (Michelle) Williams and Diana (Chris) Crockett; six beautiful grandchildren, Benjamin, Lauren, Harper, Griffith, Adelaide, and Rya; four sisters, Patsy Martino, Sue (Jimmy) Maxey, Gail Harris, Sandra Campos; and three brothers, Bobby (Linda) Bailey, Jimmy (Pat) Bailey, and Jerry (Jolene) Bailey.

Gerri was preceded in death by her husband, Coy B. Compton as well as her parents, Luther and Catherine Bailey.

Services will be held 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Macedonia Christian Church, 4551 Winchester Road, Lexington, KY. Visitation will begin at 5:30 followed by a memorial service at 7.
