Claire

Claire is a very pretty one and one-half year-old calico cat. She was brought to the humane society this fall along with a couple of her kittens from a home with too many cats. Claire’s kittens have been adopted and now it is sweet Claire’s turn to find her home. Claire has gorgeous amber eyes that will touch your heart. She is a quiet girl and would make a great addition to most any family looking for a purrfect feline companion.

Candy is a beautiful one-year-old mixed breed dog. We think she may be part Lab and possibly shepherd. Candy weighs about 60 pounds and is an active girl. She loves to run in the exercise area as she carries a favorite toy. After her run she will come and flop over for a little belly rub as her reward. Candy is an intelligent dog and will do great in a home where she gets to participate in family activities and receives the love and attention that she deserves!

The DBCHS wishes everyone a very Happy New Year! Thank you so much for your overwhelming support in 2017! As a suggestion for a New Year’s resolution you can help the animals at the humane society by volunteering at our adoption center at the PetSmart at Brannon Crossing once a month on a weekend afternoon. This is very rewarding work placing homeless animals with their new forever families. For more information email our PetSmart coordinator at humanevolunteer@gmail.com or call the humane society at (859) 238-1117.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
