Kenneth Lane “Katfish” Evans

1940-2017

Kenneth Lane “Katfish” Evans, 77, formerly of Danville, husband of Ann Martin Evans, passed away, December 27, 2017 at his home in Lawrenceburg. Born January 23, 1940 in Marion County, KY, Ken was the son of the late C.L. Evans, Jr. and Edna Mae Lane Evans.

Ken served in the U.S. Air Force during Vietnam and retired in 1995 from Kentucky Utilities. He was currently in his 5th term as a member of the Lawrenceburg City Council. 

Along with his wife Ann, Ken is survived by his two children, Julie Ann Evans Brothers of Lexington and Kenneth Irvin Evans (Melissa Dotson) of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Christopher Evans, Tyler Brothers, Ally Anne Evans, Dakota Evans, Brianna Evans and Bryson Evans; six great grandchildren; and his sister, Susie (Eddie) Kelly of Danville. Including his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his brother Jim D. Evans.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 2nd from 1 – 4 PM followed by his memorial service at 4:00 PM at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home.
