Invitation to Women’s March on Jan. 20

Dear Editor,

The Women’s March, a world phenomenon that attracted over 4 million marchers across the globe in January 2017, has a first anniversary coming up, and it is the weekend of Jan. 20. Last year, there were multiple marches in Kentucky, in all 50 states and also hundreds of marches in foreign countries. 

Join members and friends of the Indivisible Danville Group in a caravan to the Fayette Court Block in Lexington on Saturday, Jan. 20, for a rally that celebrates this important anniversary. The rally begins in downtown Lexington at 2 p.m. and ends at 3:30 p.m.

The Danville Indivisible Group is meeting briefly in the parking lot at the the Boyle County Public Library at 12:30 p.m. to begin our caravan. All are welcome to travel with us to Lexington. Bring your posters! In the meantime, check out the website www.womensmarch.com to see the locations of all of the rallies and celebrations planned for this weekend across the United States.
