FRANKFORT — Last week, Rep. Dan Elliott, R-Danville, was appointed vice chair of the House Standing Committee on Economic Development and Workforce Investment by House Majority Leadership.
“I am honored to have been appointed vice chair of the House Economic Development and Workforce Investment Committee.” said Elliott, an attorney. “Kentucky’s economy has rebounded significantly due to pro-growth policies formulated and passed by the Republican-controlled General Assembly last year. Folks are going back to work after years of unemployment and businesses are investing and opening new facilities all over the commonwealth. I look forward to working with Chairman Phillip Pratt and the rest of the committee members so that we can keep Kentucky’s economy humming.”
Elliott was also recently appointed to serve on the House Standing Committee on Health and Family Services.
“I look forward to beginning work on the Health and Family Services Committee, and it’s my hope we can gain major ground on important issues such as the opioid crisis and improvement in health care access all across Kentucky,” Elliott said.
