Brenda Jo Bottoms

1948-2018

Brenda Jo Bottoms “JoJo”, 69, of Danville, KY passed away on Friday, February 2, 2018 at home. She was born July 21, 1948 in Stanford, KY to the late Arthur and Gloria Brown.

She worked as a nurse at Fort Logan hospital for 25 years, where she was Director of Nursing. Brenda later worked in Pharmaceutical Research-Development for 20 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Danville, KY.

She is survived by one son, Eric Bottoms of Junction City, KY; one daughter, Ginger Bottoms Jackson (Jay) of Danville, KY; one sister, Judy Smith (Dale) of Moreland, KY; one sister-in-law, Nancy Roller; and 5 grandchildren, Kayla Bottoms, Madison Bottoms, Emma Jackson, Avery Jackson, and Cade Jackson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Anthony Brown and Bernard Brown.

Active pallbearers will be the deacons at First Baptist Church and honorary pallbearers will be the ladies of Sunday School Service at First Baptist Church, “Women of Faith”. Visitation will be Monday, February 5, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., the funeral service will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Mathis and Bro David Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
