Extension office offers workshop Friday on downsizing home

The United States Census Bureau estimates the average person will move 11.7 times during his or her lifetime. That may sound like a lot but there are many reasons people move. They may or may not move into a smaller home, but an increasingly popular trend in recent years has been to downsize. Downsizing to a smaller home offers homeowners a number of advantages, including less maintenance and significant savings on utilities, taxes and insurance. For older adults, the downsizing process is particularly appealing as it allows for the realization of retirement goals, a simplified lifestyle and to live closer to family.

Come learn useful strategies about downsizing your home as it relates to you or a family member during this workshop. This program will be at the Boyle County Extension Office on Friday, February 16th at 10am. This program is free. For questions please call 236-4484.
