Widows/widowers meal offered
The South District Associational Widows/Widowers Meal is going to be held Sunday, March 4 at Junction City First Baptist Church, 3860 US Highway 127 South, Danville. We will be meeting in one of their larger Sunday School rooms. The ladies of the church will be providing the food! Serving will begin at 12:30 p.m. Just come as you soon as you can after you get out of church. Faye Relliford will be providing our music and Barbara Satterly will be sharing her story. Please invite your widowed friends who have not joined us before and especially invite those women/men in your worlds who have been widowed in the past few months or year. Please RSVP to Dr. Cheryl Erwin at 1-859-948-5979 as soon as possible to assist the Junction City First Baptist ladies with their planning for our meal. As always, a cash donation jar will be present.
Lenten Fish Fry every Friday
The Knights of Columbus is hosting a fish fry each Friday during Lent season (Feb. 16 through March 23). The fish fry will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church on Main Street. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children.
Singing
There will be a singing at Harris Creek Baptist Church 6 p.m. Sunday. The Coffey family will be singing.
Friends and Family Day
St. James AME Church, 124 East Walnut Street, will be having Friends and Family Day on Sunday. The 11 a.m. guest speaker will be Bishop Jose Anders of Big Sandy Holiness Church in Burkesville. Rev. Ralph B. Smith is host pastor.
