Dear Editor,

Guns and people kill. I have heard that “guns don’t kill, people do.” I don’t point my finger and the person falls down dead.

Shooters in America can get assault-type weapons. We see school killings by the dozens and schools made into fortresses. The shooter in Florida had smoke bombs and gas masks, but he used the gun.

Every person who drives a car by law is reuired to get car insurance. Would you agree it’s for our own common good? Truly, assault weapon owners love their guns. But assault weapons are for killing kids.

Can we focus on our common good and that of our kids?
