Board chair dedicated to working hard for Danville schools

Dear Editor,
I am a parent of two children currently in the Danville schools and one that graduated from Danville High in 2016. I have served on the Danville Schools Education Foundation for five years and was on the site-based council at Jenny Rogers, Bate and at Danville High School.
I do not speak publicly but believe I must support Paige Matthews after the petition signed and published in the paper disparaging her, Susan Matherly and Lori Finke.
I have known Paige for 17 years. She was born and raised in Danville, graduated from Danville High School and has returned to the area to raise her family and has been an active member ever since in our community.
I have worked closely with her on the Danville Schools Education Foundation board and saw firsthand her hard work and dedication to our schools.
She was the 2014 volunteer of the year, served as a member of DSEF and became the foundation president in 2014. Paige along with Kathy Belcher spearheaded the DSEF fundraiser, Dancing with the Danville Stars. She is a tireless worker for the District and has been a devoted leader.
I think we should appreciate all of the dedication of our board members. Our district benefits from their efforts.
