1945-2018
Calvin “Goat” Nevius, 72, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Boyle County on June 12, 1945, to the late Floyd and Myrtle Curtis Nevius. Calvin retired from the state employment office in Danville after 28 years. He as an avid horseman, a member of the Tennessee Walking Horse Association, and loved horse shows and camping.
Surviving are five sisters, Celesta N. Lawson (James) of Danville, Dessie Rigney of Danville, Shirley Brown (Charlie) of Danville, Linda Stevens (Bobby) of Junction City, and Betty J. Cook of Louisville; and a special friend and caregiver, John Gaines.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, JW and David Nevius and a sister, Barbara Cox.
