Medicare provides free screenings
Medicare pays for many preventive services to keep you well. Preventive services can help you find health problems early, when issues are best treated, and can prevent you from getting certain illnesses. Medicare preventive services include screenings, lab tests, exams and shots.
The month of March has been designated “Diabetes Awareness Month.” Those with Medicare are eligible to receive free diabetes screenings if you are at risk. Additionally, those with diabetes can be approved for training to manage their condition and prevent complications.
