Casey grand jury indicts 18

The following people were indicted by a Casey County grand jury on March 12:

• Ronnie Steven Means, 39, 2066 Rock Lick Road, Bethelridge: first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. Same bond as in district court. Deputy Chad Weddle with the Casey County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Matthew D. Weddle, 32, 2587 Shugars Hill Road: theft by unlawful talking between $500 and $10,000 when he unlawfully took a walnut tree log. Summons issued. Deputy Geoff Brown with the CCSO testified.

• Zackary D. Montgomery, 23, East Yosemite Road, Yosemite: two counts theft by unlawful taking between $500 and $10,000, when he took a pickup truck with a hitch trailer and three rolls of hay. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or property. Weddle testified.

• Katherine M. Kirby, 21, 397 Ernest Neal Road, Stanford: two counts complicity to commit theft by unlawful taking property valued between $500 and $10,000 of a pickup truck with a hitch trailer and three rolls of hay. Bail was set at $1,500 cash or property. Weddle testified.

• Joshua Wayne Pruitt, 26, 744 Allen Creek Road: two counts complicity to commit theft by unlawful taking of property valued between $500 and $10,000 of a pickup truck with a hitch trailer and three rolls of hay. Bail was set at $1,500 cash or property. Weddle testified.

• Linda Sue Maynard, 37, 1233 Short Town Road: theft by unlawful taking between $500 and $10,000 when she took a car; first-degree criminal mischief when she intentionally defaced, destroyed or damaged the vehicle. Bail is continued as set in district court. Weddle testified.

• Kegan S. Posey, 24, 281 Bartle Lane: first-degree fleeing or evading police after committing an act of domestic violence; fourth-degree domestic assault third or more offense within five years; violation of emergency protective order. Bail was set at $1,500 cash only. Doug Tarter with the Liberty Police Department testified.

• Jeremy Ryan Sears, 27, 3870 Moccasin Road, Hustonville: theft by unlawful taking between $500 and $10,000 when he took a pickup truck; first-degree criminal mischief, when he defaced, destroyed or damaged the vehicle. Bail was set at $1,500 cash or property. Weddle testified.

• William Dean Brown, 55, 137 Davids Drive: driving on DUI suspended license third offense; first-degree fleeing or evading police; no or expired registration plates; no driver’s insurance; resisting arrest; menacing. Bail is continued from district court. Weddle testified.

• Victor Alfonzo Gonzalez, 33, 214 Taylor Ave.: first-degree sexual abuse of a child under age 12. Bail was set at $10,000 cash only. Detective Kevin Roberts with Kentucky State Police testified.

• Michael J. Hopkins, 36, 3362 Fall Lick Road, Lancaster: first-degree bail jumping when he failed to appear in court for a pre-trial conference. No bond was set. Commonwealth’s detective Dennis Allen testified.

• Brandi Mae Keith, 20, 2891 Chestnut Level Road: first-degree bail jumping when she failed to appear in court for arraignment. No bond was set. Allen testified.

• Jamie Burl Cochran, 40, 7376 Ky. 49: trafficking in a controlled substance, meth; first-degree persistent felony offender; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000 cash only. Allen testified.

• Danny Wayne Price, 61, 8484 Ky. 78, Hustonville: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance second or more offense, meth; first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second or more offense, cocaine; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of a controlled substance, meth. Bail was set at $10,000 cash only. Allen testified.

• Clyde Edmond Miller, 42, 661 Lee Graham Road, Hustonville: receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000 by receiving a 4-wheeler. Bond is continued from district court. Weddle testified.

• George S. Webb, III, 30, 110 Lou Drive, Moreland: receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000 by receiving a 4-wheeler; second-degree persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $2,500 cash only. Weddle testified.

• Hubert Preston Skipper III, 50, 4693 Little South Road, Gravel Switch: receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000 when he received a stolen 4-wheeler; four counts first-degree persistent felony offender; receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000 by receiving a stolen all-terrain vehicle; tampering with physical evidence; first-degree criminal mischief; trafficking in marijuana more than 5 pounds; possession of drug paraphernalia; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bail was set at $20,000 cash. Weddle testified.

• Regina Erin Skipper, 39, 4693 Little South Road, Gravel Switch: receiving stolen property between $500 and $10,000 when she took possession of a stolen all-terrain vehicle; three counts second-degree persistent felony offender; tampering with physical evidence; first-degree criminal mischief; trafficking in 5 or more pounds of marijuana second or more offense; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $20,000 cash only. Weddle testified.
