Gidion’s Knot8 p.m. April 5-7, and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 8 a Danville High School. Production will be intimate setting, putting audiences in the classroom during a highly charged meeting between Gidion’s mother and his teacher, following his suspension and subsequent suicide.

The Diary of Anne Frank, April 13-15 and 20-22 at West T. Hill Community Theatre, 117 Larrimore Lane, Danville. The play portrays the life of 13-year-old Anne Frank and her family after they were forced into hiding during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. Roles are available for four men, a teenage boy and girl, and three woman.Starring Sofie Farmer, Walter Eng, Lori Shepherd, Katlyn Hundley, Darell Rickmers, Robin Voss, Elijah Brown, Stephen Lanham,  John Andrew Dixon and Brittany Beedy. Jemima Boone: Life on the Frontier 1762-1834 — 1 p.m. April 28 at LCPL, Stanford. One of the most well-known stories to come out of Kentucky’s pioneer past involved 14-year-old Jemima. In July 1776, Boone was kidnapped by a group of Indians. Her father led a search party that caught up with the Indians and rescued the girls after three days in captivity.  Kentucky Chautauqua performer Betsy Smith, will deliver a historically accurate dramatization of Jemima Boone, daughter of Daniel Boone. Funded in part by the Kentucky Humanities Council, Inc. and Lindsey Wilson College. Info: (606)-365-7513 

Marilyn Daniel, immigration lawyer, 7 p.m. April 10 at Inter-County Energy Community Room, 1009 Hustonville Road, Danville. The Women’s Network together with Citizens Concerned with Human Rights  present Daniel, an immigration lawyer at the Maxwell Street Legal Clinic in Lexington, to speak  on the pending dilemma of undocumented DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) immigrants and their families.  Where are we now with U.S. immigration?
