Earl Van Pemberton

1947-2018

Earl Van Pemberton, 70, of Hustonville, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at home. 

Born Nov. 5, 1947, he was the son of the late Granison and Beatrice Roberts Pemberton. Earl was a retired conductor for Norfolk Southern and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a US Army veteran. 

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Betty Pemberton; one son, Alex Pemberton of Garrard County; two daughters, Vanessa (Craig) Mackey and Jeanna (Derrick) Hutchinson, both of Danville; one brother, James Walter “Dub” (Brenda) Pemberton of Perryville; eight sisters, Jean Hopton of LA, Martha Jane (Bertie) Shaffer of OH, Beulah “Boots” Pendygraft of Hustonville, Rose (Glen) Traylor of Kings Mt., June Brown of Hustonville, Marilyn Mills of Danville, Carol Jo (Johnny) Reed of Hustonville, and Inez (Larry) Goode of Danville; four grandchildren, Seth, Alexandra, and Madison Turney and Evan Hutchinson; and two great grandchildren. 

Services are at 2 p.m., Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral by Rev. David Smith with burial in Hustonville Cemetery. Pallbearers are Alex Pemberton, Seth Turney, Shannon Brown, Johnny Reed, Derrick Hutchinson and Craig Mackey. 

Visitation is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat. 

The family requests no flowers be sent and memorial contributions be made to Heritage Hospice.
