Hippity Hoppity Hope: Volunteers gathered on a recent Sunday evening to love on their neighbors through Hippity Hoppity Hope, a program by Centerpoint Church in Danville.According to Pastor Jason Kilby, there were about 100 volunteers who cooked, packed and delivered 475 meals to people for Easter.
“We packaged about 475 meals in 18 meals. I would say that’s faster than Jimmy John’s,” he said.
Kilby said they wanted to show love to others. Hippity Hoppity Hope is one of a series of ways the church has worked to do this, first with Gobble, Gobble, Give at Thanksgiving, and the Christmas Blitz in December.
“We are sharing love in a unique way, around the table, as we continue to ‘Love Loud Now’ all over town. Along the way, we point back, why we do this, towards Jesus,” Kilby said. “That’s the hope, that people see Jesus.”
