Linda Kay Middleton

1950-2018

Linda Kay Middleton, 67, passed away Tuesday April 3, 2018. She was born in Danville on December 13, 1950, a daughter of Ruth Nelson Estep and the late Tolbert Leach.

Linda was a member of Antioch United Methodist Church and worked for Bellsouth for 25 years as an operator/dispatcher. Linda had a heart of gold and dearly loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and helping others. She enjoyed reading, especially her favorite book, The Bible and she could watch the birds and listen to them sing for long periods of time. She also loved growing and tending to flowers.

Survivors include her two children, Karen J. Middleton (Michael Dorten), Michael B. Middleton; Karen and Michael’s father, Mickey Middleton; six grandchildren, Paige Worthington (Tatum Bottom), Madison Middleton, Gabriele Wheeler, Chase Middleton, Eli Anderson, Emily Middleton; three sisters, Donna Gorley, Nancy (Donald) Mills, Vickie (Chris) Holthaus; four brothers, Ron (Debbie) Leach, Jack Welch, Mickey (Sara) Welch, Dan Welch; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday April 9, 2018 at Perryville Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Davis and Bro. Chris Toney officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 – 4:00 p.m., Sunday April 8, 2018 at the church.  Pallbearers will be Levi Crowe, Tatum Bottom, Michael Dorten, Mickey Welch, John Albright and Dan Sunberg.

Memorial contributions in Linda’s memory are requested to the Danville Boyle County Humane Society.
