Rose Ann (nee Musone) Heyer, widow of Robert F. Heyer, age 92 passed on April 16, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital under the loving care of Bluegrass Hospice Care with her family at her side.
Rose and Bob were married for 65 years and resided in Danville for over 40 years. Rose was born in Cleveland, Ohio on January 31, 1926 to Antimo and Raffaela Musone, Italian immigrants.
She was preceded by her parents and siblings Carrie, Pauline, Theresa, James and Katherine. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and special aunt to many, many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children, Robert B. ( Rose) Heyer, Richmond, Ky.; Deborah A. (Joseph) Fast, Lexington, Ky., and Kurt A. ( Pamela) Heyer, Franklin, Tenn.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Keri Heyer ( Xavier and Cecilia); Lori Heyer; Robby (Brittany) Heyer (Kolten); Kelly Heyer (Karter); Andrew (Andrea) Fast (Brynn and Heidi); and Natalie Fast (fiance Sam Tyree). Rose was an excellent cook, especially Italian dishes, and loved preparing sumptuous holiday meals for family and friends. Her happiest moments were the times when all six grandchildren spent the night at grandma and grandpa’s house. Chaos, food, lots of laughing, visits to the swimming pool, library and ice cream shop were all made possible by Grandma. The grandchildren have many, many fun stories of grandma and cherished memories from a special woman.
A mass of christian burial will be 12 p.m., Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Visitation with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Fr. Allen Carter will be the celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators – Bluegrass Hospice Care or a favorite charity.
