The Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) has been a club at Boyle County High School for the past ten years. This year, 25 students competed at the state level with Noah Goins and David Walker placing first in UK Computer Science, Jake Kramp and Keith Stocker placing second in Bench Challenge, and Malik Allahham taking second place in computer programming.

Information technology teacher Damian Laymon has been the head coach for the past four years where he has experienced multiple competitions at the state level. However, this year’s performance at state was special for the group. Laymon said, “This is the best as a chapter we have done since I have been here.” As the STLP program continues to succeed, Laymon is excited to watch what is in store for the future of the program and the students involved.
