John William “Johnny” Allen

1942-2018 

John William “Johnny” Allen, 75, of Harrodsburg passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. Born August 26, 1942, he was the son of the late Charles Chester Allen and Alma Christine Wilcher Wheat. Johnny owned and operated Allen’s Service and Towing in Danville for over 50 years. Johnny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Paulette Allen; two sons, Kenneth (Stephanie) Allen of Mercer County and John (Tammy) Allen of Harrodsburg; two daughters: Christy (Brent) Moseley of Harrodsburg and Nicole (Jerry) Farmer of Danville; two brothers, BC Allen and Garry (Ann) Allen, both of Danville; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Visitation is 5-8pm, Monday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Dr. J. Timothy Mathis. Funeral Service will be at 1pm, Tuesday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home with burial in New Salem Cemetery. Pallbearers are Colin Moseley, Braden Moseley, Camden Moseley, Chris Allen, Derek Mattingly, Garry Allen, II, and Garry Allen, III. Honorary pallbearers are Alexzandria Allen, Ashley Truman, Lexi Truman, Sterling Farmer, Lynnlee Farmer, Hope Farmer, and DeRaya Thomas Mattingly.
