McDowell Wellness Center offering Well Kids Camp
McDowell Wellness Center is offering a Well Kids Camp for children in grades kindergarten through fifth, beginning June 4. Campers will participate in a variety of activities including crafts, games, swimming, gym workouts, cooking and nutritional instruction, free movie Wednesday and much more.
Participants can attend Monday through Friday and can be dropped off between 7:45 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. and must be picked up by 5:00 p.m. Campers can attend for just a week or the entire summer through August 3.
The cost is $70 per child each week. A $5 discount will be offered for additional children in the same family. A 10% discount will be offered to campers who attend the whole summer and pay up front. Space is limited to 50 campers.

Meetings
The American Legion Auxiliary Perryville Unit 301 — 6 p.m. Monday, May 7, at the Perryville Christian Church on 3rd Street.
Daughters of the American Revolution — 11:30 a.m. May 11 at Danville Country Club, 1486 Lexington Road. Lunch is $15, and a short business program will be included with a speaker. Any woman 18 years of age or older who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American revolution is eligible.
Correction
In the A1 article about the Doggie Dash 5K that appeared in Tuesday’s Advocate-Messenger, the time it took Ben Barlow to complete the 5K was incorrect. Barlow finished first in 23:32.
