Pet of the Week, May 8

Published 9:09 am Tuesday, May 8, 2018

Our featured pets this week are Gabby and Boscoe.

Gabby

Gabby is a darling six-month-old dilute tortoiseshell kitty. She has a round face and greenish eyes, giving her a bit of an exotic look. Gabby was found as a stray and was wearing a collar, obviously someone’s pet. But, unfortunately, her owner has not come to reclaim Gabby so she is available for adoption. Gabby has the sweetest personality. She is very outgoing and as her name indicates, she likes to talk to you with cute little “meows”. Gabby will make a wonderful addition to most any family in search of a cuddly kitty!

Boscoe

Boscoe is a handsome two-year-old Pit Bull mix that was brought to the humane society as a stray. He is a gorgeous dark brindle with some flashy white markings. Boscoe is a friendly boy. He enjoys walks on the leash and playing in the exercise area with volunteers. Boscoe has an intelligent eye and has adjusted well to new surroundings. If you are looking for a jogging buddy, a pal to accompany you on walks or a new best friend to add to your life, then Boscoe may be your guy!

Would you like to help the animals at the DBCHS find their forever homes? We need energetic volunteers who love animals and interacting with people to help at our adoption center at the PetSmart at Brannon Crossing in Nicholasville on weekend afternoons. This is fun and rewarding work. By donating just a few hours of your time you can help a puppy or kitty have a lifetime filled with love. Please contact our volunteer coordinator by email at humanevolunteer@gmail.com or call the humane society to find out how you can help with placing homeless animals with their new forever families.
