“The Illustrated Word” — Boyle County Public Library will host a reception for this traveling exhibit 5-6:30 p.m. tonight in Mahan Gallery. Presented by Kentucky Arts Council, the exhibit connects visual art and literature. The 27 artists in the exhibit represent 13 counties. Artwork ranges from visual interpretations of poetry and and literature, both literal and metaphorical, to artwork that incorporates text as a design element. The exhibit is up locally through June 19, and it will continue to travel around the Commonwealth through the rest of the year.
