Dear Editor,

I am writing in support of Rita Douglas for jailer of Boyle County. I have known Rita for several years. I met her through the canine training program at Northpoint Training Center.

Rita has the education and experience necessary for the job of jailer. I have witnessed Rita’s interaction with inmates; she was firm with them but always treated them with respect. The inmates returned that respect to Rita.

She has been retired from the prison for a while but I still have inmates ask me how she is doing. I know Rita can make some positive changes to our jail.
