Rebecca Elias, granddaughter of Ms. Eleanor Elias and daughter of John Elias, graduated from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, on Thursday, May 10 2018.

She graduated with a masters in public health with a concentration in health policy and management. Elias also received a certificate in health policy.

While working in her master’s program, Elias was a graduate research assistant working on health care finance research and was editor of he Department of Public Health’s newsletter.

Elias also completed her degree as a health policy intern for The Sycamore Institute, a non-partisan public policy research center focusing on health and state budgetary policy in Tennessee.

In mid-June, Elias will move to Boston to start her career in health policy analysis and research. She plans on pursuing a doctorate in health policy research at a later time.
