Bobby W. Brown
1938-2018
Bobby W. Brown, 80, of Crab Orchard, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018 at his residence. He was the husband of Florence Louise Wingate Brown.
Bobby was born May 12, 1938, in Crab Orchard. He was the son of the late William “Bill” and Oma Singleton Brown. He was a retired employee of Stearns & Foster Company. He enjoyed cattle farming and Tennessee Walking Horses. He loved to play rook and was a true blue UK basketball fan.
Survivors include his wife, Florence Louise Wingate Brown; daughters, Lisa Fisher Counts of Waynesburg and Brenda and husband Troy Vance of Crab Orchard; son, William C. Burwell of Crab Orchard; special niece, Lori “Cricket” Brummett of Crab Orchard; five grandchildren, Elaine Counts, Krystal Childers, Rebecca Fortson, Kris and Jessica Bustle; one great grandson, Khalil White; two brothers, Delmus Brown and Donald Brown; and two sisters, Anna Mae Hood and Mary and husband Sonny Napier.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Dexter, Ernest, George and Carl Brown; and two sisters, Marie Combs and Billie Lunsford.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, July 6, at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Gutenson and Bro. Melvin Sisson officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 5, 2018.
Pallbearers include Wayne Brown, Curt Brown, Jay Smith, Denny Smith, Jerry Hooker, and Shane New. Honorary pallbearer is John New.
