Beaumont Inn continues concert series

Harrodsburg – Beaumont Inn will host the band, Royal Blue Entertainment, for its second lawn concert series of the summer. Beaumont kicked off its outdoor concert series with the successful Great American Brass Band Festival lawn concert in June. This second lawn concert will feature bluegrass music on the front lawn from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, July 13.

The concert is free and open to the public. Beer, wine, and non- alcoholic beverages will be available to purchase for concert attendees. Attendees should bring their own lawn chair or blanket to fully enjoy the event. Before the concert, attendees can enjoy dinner at the Old Owl Tavern, Owl’s Nest or the Main Dining Room.

Please note, should it rain the concert will be moved indoors and seating will be limited to those eating at the Old Owl Tavern.

Lawn Chair Theater returns Saturday

Lawn Chair Theater returns to Constitution Square Saturday, July 14 for a free movie night. All ages are welcome; popcorn and drinks will be sold with all proceeds going to downtown Danville events and promotion.

The movie, rated PG, is about Phineas Taylor Barnum, a man always remembered for his gift to effortlessly blue the line between reality and fiction.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and hang out under the stars for a night of family fun in downtown Danville. The movie starts at dusk.

Meeting

Danville-Boyle County African American Historical Society — 6:30 p.m. today (Tuesday, July 10) at the Boyle County Fire Department headquarters on Lebanon Road. This is the last meeting before the Soul of Second Street, also expect updates on the storage situation with our property given by EKU Danville when they closed.
