Garrard grand jury hands up indictments on nine

The following people were indicted by a Garrard County grand jury on July 6:

• Martinez Cordoba, 45, 2583 Richmond Road, Lancaster: 10 counts first-degree rape. Bail was set at $100,000. Sgt. Rick Shearer with the Lancaster Police Department testified.

• Michael Shane Marcum, 31, 3651 B Poosey Ridge Road, McKee: driving a motor vehicle on a suspended license; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500 cash. Officer Tudor with the LPD testified.

• Anthony Elam, 40, 207 Campbell St., Lancaster: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500. Tudor testified.

  Robert Rhodus, 32, 207 Campbell St., Lancaster: first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $2,500. Tudor testified.

• Kendall Lainhart, 29, 103 Milarn Court, Lancaster: third-degree assault on LPD officer; unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $2,500 cash. Tudor testified.

• Floyd Burkhart, 42, 3306 East Harmons Lick Road, Crab Orchard: theft by unlawful taking of a guitar and amplifier valued more than $500. Bail was set at $2,500. Officer Taylor with the Garrard County Police Department testified.

• David Yeager, 38, 579 Fairview Court, Harrodsburg: theft by unlawful taking of property valued at $500 or more; second-degree burglary. Bail was set at $5,000. Taylor testified.

• Terry Hawley, 22, 107 Kinnard Ave., Lancaster: third-degree burglary; theft by unlawful taking of property valued at $500 or more; first-degree criminal mischief; second-degree possession of a controlled substance, suboxone. Bail was set at $5,000. Officer Weston with the GCPD testified.

• Devon Branson, 35, 105 Gilberts Creek, Stanford: third-degree burglary; theft by unlawful taking of property valued at $500 or more; first-degree criminal mischief; first-degree possession of a controlled substance, Vicodin. Bail was set at $5,000. Officer Weston with the GCPD testified.
