Travis Lee Kern, 6:30-8 p.m. Thursday at Weisiger Park, beside Boyle County Courthouse, for Main Street Live. A free event on every third Thursday, from the Heart of Danville. Local food and beer for sale; this event’s non-profit partner is Soul of 2nd Street Festival which will be there collecting donations and updating the public on this year’s festival. Kern is a singer-songwriter who performs venues throughout the southeast, playing guitar, banjo, harmonica and piano.

Great Day — A Musical Calendar, a free concert by Summer Singers, 7:30 p.m. July 31 at the Presbyterian Church of Danville, corner of Main and Fifth streets. Celebrating eight special days, including Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Christmas, Fourth of July and Veteran’s Day, among others, the concert will feature music in a wide variety of styles, from Renaissance to jazz.
