Hazel Poynter, 66, of Lancaster, passed away Wednesday July 18, 2018 at her home. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert “Mike”.
Hazel was born on November 18, 1951, in Lincoln County, to the late Carl and Gladys Caudill Eldridge. Hazel enjoyed cooking, gardening, and sewing. But the most important aspect of her life was spending time with her family and playing with her grandchildren which meant so much to her. She was a member of the Lancaster Church of God.
Surviving is a son, Shannon Poynter (Katie) of Lancaster; three daughters, Patty Feeney (Craig) of Ohio, Michelle Wesley (Kirk) of Casey County, and Sarah Roller (Chet) of Perryville; five brothers, Curtis Eldridge (Pam) of Waynesburg, Danny Eldridge (Janice) of Missouri, Junior Eldridge (Jamie) of Olive Hill, Doyle Eldridge (Dee Dee) of Stanford, and Teddy Eldridge of Springfield; three sisters, Phyllis Denny (Ray) of Crab Orchard, Kathy Padgett (Allen Blaine) of Frankfort, and Dorothy Roberts (Columbus) of Cincinnati, Ohio; 11 grandchildren, Peyton Feeney, Brandon Feeney, Emily Feeney, Denver Miller, Amber Wesley, Brayden Poynter, Paisley Poynter, A.J. Poynter, Ashlen Roller, Kaylen Roller, and Jayden Roller; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia Blevins and Riley Dennison.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Coy Eldridge; and a granddaughter, Taylor Poynter.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday July 22, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Brasseaux officiating. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Danville Memorial Gardens in Danville.
Pallbearers are Shannon Poynter, Craig Feeney, Chet Roller, Kirk Wesley, Denver Miller, and Brandon Feeney.
