In the story titled “Boyle Industrial Foundation looking for buyer for 1941 caboose,”the foundation offered to give the caboose to the City of Danville, not sell it to the city.

Fabric sale to benefit homemakers

Quilting-quality fabric will be for sale as well as sewing notions during the fabric sale at the Boyle County Extension Office, 99 Corporate Drive. Hours of the sale are 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday-Friday, July 26-27, and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, July 28. The event is in memory of the late Jane Gessaman as a fundraiser for the Boyle County Homemaker Clubs.

Bourbon tasting in Perryville

PERRYVILLE — Main Street Perryville is hosting a bourbon tasting with Mike Lankford, bourbon connoisseur, as he discusses the  history of bourbon. The event will be held in the newly renovated Johnson-Britton House at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 26 and 27. Cost is $50 per person. For tickets call (859) 332-1862 or (859) 319-9762. All proceeds go to Perryville Main Street preservation.
