As a result of the June 16 Lincoln Driven to Give event at Stuart Powell, $3,190 was raised to help with cadet training programs at the local Civil Air Patrol base.
Since the inception of these programs at Stuart Powell Ford Lincoln Mazda, more than $132,000 has been raised for school and other local non-profit groups.
The next test-drive fundraisers at the dealership will be on Aug. 11 to benefit Boyle/Mercer Relay for Life through Ford’s Drive 4 UR Community program, and on Sept. 8 to benefit Boyle County High School’s Girls Golf through Lincoln’s Driven to Give program.
For every person 18 or older with a valid driver’s license who test-drives a qualifying new vehicle those days as part of the event, $20 will be donated to the day’s sponsored group.
Stuart Powell Ford Lincoln Mazda is located at 225 South Danville Bypass, Danville.
